Description

  • Design and build Nest.js service scaffolding for backend services in the monorepo.
  • Develop paved paths, generators, and platform primitives that enable services to work from day one.
  • Build interfaces that allow new services to operate independently from the existing monolith.
  • Own deployment workflows for services and web applications on Cloudflare, integrating with AWS and Kubernetes through Pulumi and Argo CD.
  • Lead large-scale codebase migrations into the monorepo and create repeatable migration processes.
  • Partner with product teams as platform customers and use their adoption and feedback to prioritize improvements.
  • Improve team productivity through tooling, generators, and agent-assisted workflows.
  • Contribute to engineering culture through technical writing, hiring initiatives, and internal hackathons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production.
  • Experience defining backend service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership.
  • Business-level fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in TypeScript and Node.js, with familiarity with edge runtimes.
  • Experience with large, heavily coupled codebases and incremental extraction strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with monorepo tools such as Nx, Turborepo, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure across Cloudflare, AWS, Kubernetes, Pulumi, or Argo CD.
  • Strong written communication and technical decision-making skills.
  • Proactive interest in AI and emerging technologies.
