Description

  • Collaborate with backend and mobile engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features and enhance existing features.
  • Design and develop new products and client-facing features using the company’s design system components.
  • Triage and resolve operational issues to keep mission-critical web systems and services running smoothly.
  • Work on web platform infrastructure projects to improve system health, performance, and product delivery velocity.
  • Participate in recruiting activities, including interviewing candidates.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers on the team.
  • Contribute to cross-functional scrum team work across web platform initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a web-focused engineering role.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript, including ES5+, native DOM APIs, and ideally a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar server-side frameworks such as Express or Django is a plus.
  • Experience working with design to build custom pages and components.
  • Experience writing custom CSS and building responsive pages across a variety of screen sizes.
  • Focus on page speed performance.
  • Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
  • BS or MS in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong interest in projects with measurable business impact in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
