Description

  • Lead recurring analytical reporting for the Demand & Service Quality Operations team, including report preparation, issue diagnosis, and opportunity identification.
  • Drive deep-dive projects on operational challenges to improve business outcomes and support local operations managers with actionable insights.
  • Design and develop metrics and dashboards that enable operations managers to self-serve data.
  • Use AI to improve the efficiency of data analysis and reporting workflows.
  • Create opportunities to upskill local operations managers in data analysis.
  • Communicate business results and insights to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Partner with Product Data Science, Product Management, User Research, and other teams to align on operational opportunities.
  • Investigate escalated metrics and support marketplace enablement across the Demand Ops & Service Quality team.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in analytical roles.
  • Expert-level SQL and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills required.
  • Strong data visualization, quantitative, and analytical modeling skills.
  • Ability to build data-driven business cases for operational improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with comfort presenting to senior leadership and collaborating across stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to bridge Data Science and Operations teams to translate insights into operational success.
  • Curiosity and persistence to investigate metrics deeply and identify root causes.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous, undefined data and build foundational reporting frameworks from scratch.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% to visit local markets.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology or mobility company preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages preferred.
  • Experience using data to drive operational improvements preferred.
  • Background in AV, mobility technology, urban planning, or transportation preferred.

Benefits

  • Expected base salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s equity incentive plan.
