Description

  • Build and expand technical relationships with distributors, resellers, and MSSP partners in the territory.
  • Drive revenue growth by providing pre-sales technical support and technical training to reseller partners and end customers.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for end users evaluating WatchGuard product lines.
  • Train and support partners through demos, workshops, seminars, webinars, and technical enablement sessions.
  • Assist field sales with pre-sales activities and post-sales escalation support.
  • Support customer evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and setup/configuration of network, endpoint, and cloud security solutions.
  • Respond to RFP questions and provide customer and partner feedback to Product Management.
  • Coordinate inter-departmental technical resources to help close opportunities.
  • Escalate and resolve partner and customer issues when appropriate.
  • Identify and report on competitive trends, including products and promotions.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the assigned Southeast Asia territory, specifically Malaysia or Indonesia.
  • Ability to travel regionally as required for customer, partner, and company events.
  • 2+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, solution engineering, technical consulting, partner enablement, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • BS/BA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong networking and network security background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present technical concepts in English and local languages such as Bahasa, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
  • Ability to create end-to-end security solutions for customer environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and balance competing priorities.
  • WatchGuard or competitor product knowledge is preferred.
  • Prior pre-sales technical experience is preferred.
  • Experience with network security, endpoint security, MDR, XDR, cloud security, or managed security platforms is advantageous.
  • Wireless networking knowledge or experience is preferred.
  • Regional SEA channel or distributor experience is preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications in networking, security, cloud, endpoint, firewall, or vendor-specific technologies are advantageous.
