Description

  • Reimagine and implement a new codebase for the next-generation Data Platform.
  • Design how factual data about artists, songwriters, and works is stored, represented, ingested, and served.
  • Build data pipelines to ingest, process, transform, and serve music consumption data across digital platforms.
  • Develop the data model and relationships that support search and discovery for analysts and business partners.
  • Contribute to systems that power marketing optimization, performance tracking, rights acquisition, and distribution.
  • Support next-generation capabilities such as artist-fan connection, trend analysis, and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering team members and leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Own the creation and delivery of innovative products with a high sense of accountability.
  • Continuously improve systems and practices as part of a culture of learning.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in backend development or data engineering.
  • Experience building large-scale data processing pipelines or large, high-availability dimensional data stores.
  • Strong backend engineering and data engineering capability.
  • Excellent coding ability and empathetic communication skills.
  • Strong design skills.
  • High ownership and ability to deliver impact in a fast-paced, evolving, ambiguous environment.
  • Passion for music and motivation to support music data and the industry.
  • Desire to grow, learn, and master the craft of software development.

Benefits

  • Base salary of CAD $115,000 - $165,000.
  • Eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
  • Remote full-time position.
  • Opportunity to work on a new codebase and high-impact platform at a global music company.
