Description

  • Define and evangelize a multi-year product vision for WMG’s music distribution ecosystem.
  • Translate business challenges into clear, outcome-based product objectives.
  • Lead continuous discovery to validate ideas for value and viability before build work begins.
  • Work in a Product Trio with Design and Engineering to identify and mitigate risks early.
  • Recruit, mentor, and coach Product Managers to grow the craft and increase team ownership.
  • Foster a culture where teams are measured by the problems they solve rather than the features they ship.
  • Build trust-based partnerships with leaders across labels, legal, finance, and operations.
  • Synthesize cross-functional constraints into a shared vision and advocate for it across the organization.
  • Drive an AI-aware distribution strategy with guardrails that protect artists’ livelihoods.
  • Own product success by rallying cross-functional partners through complex challenges.

Requirements

  • Extensive product management experience with a track record of leading PM teams that ship products solving complex problems.
  • Experience in music and/or digital media is preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to discuss system architecture with engineers.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to discuss P&L constraints with executives.
  • Experience mitigating value, usability, feasibility, and business viability risks upfront.
  • Demonstrated extreme ownership and ability to steward product success through complexity.
  • Genuine interest in music and the people who create it.
  • Motivation to help artists share their work globally and build sustainable careers.
