Description

  • Build and improve forecasting models for streaming, audience growth, commercial performance, deal risk, merchandise, and demand planning.
  • Analyze large-scale streaming and engagement data to identify listener preferences, anomalies, and actionable audience insights.
  • Develop predictive models for artist performance, commercial outcomes, targeting, and audience behavior.
  • Measure and optimize global marketing campaign impact through experimentation, inference, and marketing analytics.
  • Create hypothesis-testing frameworks and decision-making tools for real-time audience and music-stream analysis.
  • Translate complex analysis into tailored presentations, reporting, and data-driven stories for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with affiliates, labels, international teams, merchandising, Global Technology, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with data engineering teams to define and secure data required for mathematical models.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on data science experience after a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years after a graduate degree.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with R, Python, and SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience building and iterating on forecasting models for streaming, audience growth, and commercial performance.
  • Experience evaluating forecast accuracy through testing, backtesting, and iteration.
  • 5+ years of experience building marketing mix models using advertising data, including techniques such as multilinear regression and Hierarchical Bayes.
  • 5+ years of experience building targeting models, including propensity scoring and look-alike modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience deploying machine-learning models into production.
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into business logic and support non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience communicating technical concepts through data visualizations using matplotlib, ggplot2, or similar libraries.
