Description

  • Build forecasting models for streaming, audience growth, commercial performance, deal risk, merchandise, and demand planning.
  • Analyze large-scale audience, streaming, and engagement data to identify listener preferences, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Develop hypothesis testing frameworks and decision tools to evaluate audience behavior and music delivery patterns in real time.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear presentations and stories for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Measure and optimize the impact of global marketing campaigns using experimentation and data-driven analysis.
  • Partner with local affiliates, labels, international teams, merchandising teams, business stakeholders, and Global Technology.
  • Work directly with data engineering teams to define and secure the data needed for mathematical models.
  • Build targeting and marketing mix models to understand audience behavior and incremental campaign impact.
  • Deploy machine learning models into production and iterate on model performance through testing, backtesting, and refinement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • 2 to 6 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience with R, Python, and SQL.
  • At least 2 years of experience building forecasting models for streaming, audience growth, and commercial performance.
  • At least 2 years of experience improving forecasts through testing, backtesting, and iteration.
  • At least 2 years of experience using advertising data to build marketing mix models with methods such as multi-linear regression and Hierarchical Bayes.
  • At least 2 years of experience building targeting models, including propensity scoring and look-alike modeling.
  • At least 2 years of experience deploying machine learning models into a production environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with data visualizations such as matplotlib, ggplot2, or similar libraries.
  • Proven ability to bridge technical complexity and business logic for cross-functional stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Base salary of CAD $95,000 - $120,000 for L3 or CAD $105,000 - $140,000 for L4.
  • Eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
  • Remote full-time work location in Ontario or British Columbia.
  • Internal leveling calibrated during the interview process based on experience and project scope.
