Description

Plan and execute marketing initiatives for the Japan market, including organic, community-led, and paid campaigns.
Monitor, analyze, and improve key funnel metrics from user acquisition through ongoing engagement and retention.
Report on campaign performance and growth outcomes for stakeholders.
Develop repeatable marketing playbooks for the Japan market through ongoing testing and validation.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, Community, and Marketing teams to launch and scale local initiatives.
Own both strategy and execution in a startup environment with a high degree of autonomy.
Drive growth initiatives that produce clear impact on Japan market MAU.
Operate with speed and ownership from planning through implementation and iteration.

Requirements

4–7 years of experience in a platform company, game company, entertainment company, or creator ecosystem role.
Proven track record of successfully delivering marketing initiatives, especially organic or community-led growth programs.
Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with KPI management, user growth, and retention improvement using data.
Deep understanding of Japanese internet culture, the VTuber ecosystem, and creator communities.
Strong self-starter who can execute independently with limited budget and a small team.
Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
Experience growing consumer-facing platform users in the Japanese market (preferred).
Experience with game, social platform, UGC ecosystem, or creator economy products (preferred).
Experience running influencer programs or creator-led growth initiatives in Japan (preferred).
Experience scaling an early-stage market to meaningful size (preferred).
Understanding of or interest in VR, immersive media, or social virtual worlds (preferred).
Strong interest in VRChat, online communities, creators, and internet culture (bonus).
Existing relationships with VTuber agencies, creators, or IP holders (bonus).
Experience in field marketing, offline events, or grassroots promotion (bonus).
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment (bonus).
