Description

  • Define and own the enterprise data and cloud strategy, including multi-year roadmaps aligned with corporate objectives and mission requirements.
  • Architect and govern the cloud environment across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS in public, private, and hybrid models.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, and real-time streaming.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise data governance frameworks covering ownership, quality, metadata management, and lineage.
  • Partner with business, program, and technical leaders to translate operational and analytical needs into scalable solutions.
  • Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing team of cloud architects, data engineers, data analysts, and platform engineers.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Manage cloud financial operations, including budget ownership, cost optimization, consumption governance, and executive reporting.
  • Ensure data and cloud environments meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements such as ITAR, CMMC, and FedRAMP.
  • Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships and report strategy, roadmap progress, and investment recommendations to executive leadership and the board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 10 years of experience, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology platforms.
  • At least 4 years in a director or senior leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including architecture, security, identity, networking, and cost management.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and analytical ecosystems.
  • Proven experience establishing data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and enterprise data strategy in a multi-business-unit environment.
  • Executive-level communication skills with experience presenting technical strategy and data insights to C-suite and board audiences.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, matrixed teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including cloud service providers, systems integrators, and technology platform negotiations.
  • Preferred: experience in defense, national security, aerospace, or government-contracting environments with familiarity with ITAR, CMMC, or FedRAMP.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, or equivalent modern data stack technologies.
  • Preferred: experience integrating AI/ML capabilities and operationalizing machine learning models in production at enterprise scale.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Workday HCM, Deltek Costpoint, or NetSuite MRP.
  • Preferred: experience implementing FinOps frameworks and cloud cost optimization strategies across multi-cloud environments.
  • Preferred: cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Preferred: experience building and maturing data product management disciplines.
  • Preferred: track record driving enterprise change management alongside platform transformation and data modernization programs.
  • Travel up to 25%, including overnight travel, to Voyager facilities, partner sites, and customer locations across the United States.
  • Must be able to comply with U.S. export control requirements, including ITAR.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances may be required.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. Person eligible for required export authorizations.
