Description

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, JumpCloud, and other enterprise applications for remote employees across multiple time zones.
  • Manage incident tickets in Zendesk (Support module), ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution following ITIL incident management practices.
  • Process service requests including user provisioning, access management, and application configuration changes according to established workflows.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding tasks such as account creation/deactivation, device assignment, and access reviews.
  • Assist with IT asset management using AssetSonar, including device tracking, lifecycle management, and inventory accuracy.
  • Support implementation and documentation of data retention policies across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and other systems, and identify gaps versus compliance requirements.
  • Help collect compliance evidence for SOC 2 audits related to IT controls, access management, and data retention practices.
  • Create and maintain IT documentation including SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and RACI matrices, and contribute to Zendesk Guide content.
  • Support optimization of Zendesk workflows (categorization, routing, SLA tracking), identify opportunities for automation and self-service, and track service desk metrics.
  • Perform basic platform administration tasks under supervision (Google Workspace user/group management, Microsoft 365 license/Teams/SharePoint support, JumpCloud device management, Slack workspace administration).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field OR currently pursuing a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Working knowledge of major operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based productivity suites (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365) in business environments.
  • Understanding of basic IT service management concepts and ticketing systems (Zendesk or similar) including incident tracking and service request workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting solutions, writing knowledge base articles, and supporting users at all technical levels.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency with common office applications and collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, video conferencing).
  • Preferred: at least one prior IT support/help desk/systems administration internship or 1+ years relevant work experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ITIL 4 and ITSM best practices, identity and access management platforms (Okta, Azure AD, JumpCloud), and exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Preferred: experience with IT asset management tools and Zendesk or similar ITSM platforms, plus basic scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and understanding of data retention lifecycle.
