Description

  • Build and refine keyword-based search queries to collect relevant social media posts, captions, comments, and transcripts.
  • Work with the data team to determine the most effective analysis approach for each client or problem.
  • Use AI tools to tag, classify, and code content at scale by theme, tone, stance, and related dimensions.
  • Apply quantitative text analysis methods such as sentiment, frequency, and topic modeling.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and other dataset signals to support research findings.
  • Translate analysis into visualizations and written deliverables for non-technical audiences.
  • Blend quantitative results with qualitative interpretation to produce rigorous, compelling findings.
  • Synthesize online discourse into memos, briefs, and presentations that inform client decision-making.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional experience working with large text-based datasets such as social media posts, comments, captions, or transcripts.
  • Experience with quantitative text analysis methods, including sentiment analysis, frequency analysis, or topic modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to filter, join, and transform datasets for analysis.
  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to translate quantitative findings into accessible narratives.
  • Deep familiarity with social media platforms and online communities, including how content spreads and how algorithms shape visibility.
  • Strong research instincts with the ability to identify where to look, what to ask, and when findings are meaningful.
  • Interest in progressive causes, with experience in political campaigns or public interest groups preferred.
