Description

  • Design a high-performance rendering architecture for interactive spatial visualization and real-time editing.
  • Partner with Design to define the interaction model and visual polish for spatial editing workflows.
  • Optimize rendering and input latency using partial GPU buffer updates, custom shaders, and other performance techniques.
  • Develop spatial intelligence features such as 3D line-of-sight analysis, signal strength heatmaps, and AI-driven placement suggestions.
  • Own the client-side CRDT-based sync engine for offline-first, multi-user editing, including document model, local persistence, presence, and conflict resolution.
  • Architect a platform that can support 8+ product lines and complex geospatial workflows.
  • Build a collaborative, interactive 3D engine from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building complex, customer-facing web applications or high-performance graphics engines.
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals, including scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, and classes.
  • Deep React expertise, including familiarity with state and data libraries such as React Query and Zustand.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong intuition for data structures, memory management, and linear algebra.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to pixel-perfect execution.
  • Ability to bridge CAD-level precision with consumer-grade UX in partnership with Design.
  • Understanding of coordinate system conversions, geospatial projections, and 3D geometry.
  • Experience with Deck.gl, MapLibre, Three.js, or raw WebGL/WebGPU (preferred).
  • Experience with real-time sync architectures such as Yjs, Automerge, or Operational Transforms (preferred).
  • Proficiency in high-performance 2D/3D graphics, Canvas API, low-level buffer management, or custom shaders (preferred).
  • Familiarity with PostGIS, vector tiling (MVT), and GIS workflows (preferred).

  • Estimated annual pay range of $185,000 to $265,000 USD.
