Description

  • Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing cross-functional engineering team for the Biometric Authentication product.
  • Define the team structure, engineering practices, ownership model, and delivery metrics as the team scales.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of BioAuth features across iOS, Android, Web, backend services, and ML integrations.
  • Build and scale high-performance biometric infrastructure for face encoding storage, retrieval, matching, and liveness verification.
  • Partner with Product leadership on authentication strategy, technical architecture, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Drive efforts to bring core biometric capabilities in-house and reduce third-party dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to productionize face recognition, liveness detection, and anti-spoofing models.
  • Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and incident response.
  • Work with Legal and Compliance to maintain privacy-first architecture, GDPR compliance, and responsible biometric data handling.
  • Build a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, ownership, and customer impact.

Requirements

  • Strong technical leadership background in software engineering, mobile development, or platform engineering.
  • Experience leading or building teams responsible for end-to-end product delivery, including mobile SDKs and backend services.
  • Experience designing systems that scale with product adoption in high-growth environments.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and guide teams through ambiguity.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Product, Data Science, Platform, Security, and Legal.
  • Comfort working in regulated environments and collaborating on privacy-preserving, secure experiences.
  • Hands-on experience with high-scale backend systems such as vector databases, face retrieval systems, or embedding-based matching infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience in regulated industries such as identity verification, fintech, security, or healthcare (preferred).
  • Ability to architect for both short-term delivery and long-term scalability while balancing technical debt, performance, and maintainability (preferred).
  • Strong systems thinking and experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, and performance optimization (preferred).
