Description

  • Execute high-volume security ticket queue by reviewing and approving antivirus exclusions, browser extensions, email whitelisting, firewall rules, software installations, and general security guidance within SLA targets.
  • Complete out-of-band requests and provide Product Architecture (VDC) alignment/support as needed.
  • Participate in Architecture Committee and AI Committee meetings, provide security input, and document decisions.
  • Ensure security controls are integrated into all reviewed projects and changes.
  • Maintain and update security reference architectures and contribute to technical standards documentation and special projects (e.g., Polaris).
  • Apply risk assessment frameworks to ticketed requests, recommend compensating controls, and support the vulnerability management exception process.
  • Collaborate with CT Security Engineering, Cyber Operations, and business units to apply consistent security best practices and assist in policy enforcement.
  • Escalate complex security issues to the Senior Director and recommend tactical improvements to streamline approval workflows.
  • Stay current with relevant security trends, tools, and threats and incorporate learnings into daily review tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in information security, with emphasis on security reviews, architecture support, or secure design.
  • Relevant certifications desirable (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CCSP, AWS/Azure security associate).
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, plus familiarity with risk assessment methods and compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience with network security, firewall rule configuration, endpoint protection, cloud platforms, and identity management.
  • Familiarity with security reference models and architecture review processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting reviews and collaborating with technical teams.
  • Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive tasks in a structured queue environment.
  • Applicants should be permanently located in the United Kingdom (Veeam may decline applications from candidates permanently outside the UK).
