Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professional Systems Engineers to ensure consistent productivity, quality, and results.
  • Manage performance with clear, fair coaching to support growth, accountability, and improved team effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain a team culture that values preparation, ownership, and customer impact while improving processes to scale execution.
  • Align Systems Engineering activities to sales priorities, account strategies, and regional business plans, tracking progress and adjusting priorities as conditions change.
  • Operate with sound judgment on day-to-day decisions and consult leadership when scope or impact requires it.
  • Guide teams through complex technical and customer challenges and serve as a technical escalation point to ensure architectural quality and alignment to Veeam’s data resilience strategy.
  • Ensure teams can position how resilient, secure, and governed data enables cloud, analytics, and AI initiatives, and share field insights to improve positioning and cross-functional execution.
  • Partner closely with Sales Leadership and work across product, engineering, alliances, customers, partners, and vendors to support customer and partner success and enable partner-led opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or enterprise technology roles.
  • Experience leading professional teams in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or enterprise technology in a customer-facing environment.
  • Proven track record of mentoring, performance management, and improving team effectiveness.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure and data-centric technologies sufficient to guide and challenge technical teams.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Clear, confident communication skills that keep teams aligned and focused.
  • Mindset of curiosity, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve.
  • Willingness to travel 50–75% and ability to work in a remote-friendly arrangement (#LI-Remote).

  • Compensation range: CAD $177,800–$330,100 total target compensation (inclusive of base and bonus).
