Description

  • Own technical success plans and adoption roadmaps for assigned accounts and influence pricing, commercial terms, and renewal strategy in partnership with Sales and CS leadership.
  • Configure customer accounts, customize backup policies and storage, facilitate onboarding, and orient stakeholders to admin portals and support channels.
  • Identify migration and expansion opportunities by analyzing usage and environment, conducting success planning and strategy sessions, and aligning product adoption to business outcomes.
  • Design and execute protection plans, run recovery simulations, and conduct DRRM/DRMM assessments to measure and improve customer resilience.
  • Monitor signals to detect churn risk early, define mitigation plans, and partner on renewal strategy with actionable technical insights.
  • Build business cases and define total cost of ownership (TCO) and value propositions for expansion; schedule and lead checkpoint reviews with stakeholders.
  • Engage executive stakeholders (CISO/CIO) with clear risk, status, and opportunity updates and provide context for executive discussions and roadmap alignment.
  • Deliver quarterly resilience reports and track resilience posture using the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM).
  • Collaborate on marketing-informed campaigns and plays to drive adoption and expansion across accounts (long-term account assignment covering ~5–50 accounts, typically $100K+ ARR).

Requirements

  • 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery (e.g., Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, Technical Account Manager); this is a mid-level role.
  • VMCE certification required (may be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe).
  • Hands-on expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and DR&R best practices.
  • Strong experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations; familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Experience engaging executive stakeholders (CISO/CIO) and synthesizing technical, business, and risk signals into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
