Description

Execute testing plans to validate migrated credit analytics workflows in the new platform.
Reconcile outputs between legacy spreadsheet-based processes and the new system, investigate discrepancies, and document findings.
Partner with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Operations teams to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
Develop reporting, monitoring, and validation processes to support data quality and operational stability during migration.
Support go-live activities, including user acceptance testing, issue triage, process documentation, and stakeholder communications.
Create training materials and document workflows to support change management and end-user adoption.
Use AI agents and modern tooling to accelerate testing, reconciliation, documentation, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years of experience in credit analytics, risk analytics, financial services analytics, or a related quantitative function.
Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, testing, or quality assurance for analytical or operational processes.
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
Experience using spreadsheet-based analytical models and translating business requirements into scalable processes or systems.
Knowledge of consumer lending, credit risk, loan performance monitoring, or portfolio analytics (preferred).
Experience supporting technology implementations, system migrations, or process transformation initiatives (preferred).
Ability to investigate data discrepancies and partner with technical teams to resolve root-cause issues (preferred).
Experience creating process documentation, training materials, or operational readiness plans (preferred).
Skills in Python, R, or business intelligence tools used for reporting and analysis (preferred).
Availability for a 9-month contract role.
Ability to work on West Coast time zones.
Remote work eligibility in the U.S. or Canada, excluding Quebec.

Benefits

Anticipated base salary range of $75.58 to $88.89 USD per hour.
Competitive compensation with potential bonus opportunities and annual equity grants, though this contractor role is not eligible for Upstart employee compensation, equity, bonus, or benefits offerings.
