Description

  • Build features end to end across the UI, API, data model, and deployment path.
  • Design and evolve the API layer, including data contracts, error handling, authentication, authorization, and typed interfaces.
  • Design, tune, and maintain Postgres schemas, queries, migrations, indexing, and database performance.
  • Deliver dashboards, competency visualizations, adaptive learning paths, assessment flows, and administrative tooling.
  • Set technical standards across the stack, including module boundaries, state management, testing, observability, and code review practices.
  • Engineer for performance across backend latency, database efficiency, browser rendering, bundle size, and load behavior.
  • Ship continuously through GitOps and CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD-driven Kubernetes deployments.
  • Collaborate with product, design, platform, and customer-facing teams to turn requirements into shipped software.
  • Mentor engineers as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years building and operating production web applications, including time in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong full stack experience across backend, database, and frontend troubleshooting and delivery.
  • Strong Node.js and Express experience, including routing, middleware, service layering, auth, API versioning, error handling, and testing.
  • Deep Angular expertise, including standalone components, signals or RxJS state, dependency injection, routing, lazy loading, and performance tuning.
  • React experience strongly preferred, including hooks, modern rendering patterns, and component composition.
  • Production PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, transactions, and indexing.
  • Cloud-native delivery experience with containerized applications deployed to Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on GitOps and CI/CD experience, including ArgoCD or Flux, Helm and/or Kustomize, and pipeline automation.
  • Strong architecture judgment across service boundaries, data modeling, state management, build tooling, and dependency choices.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing as part of normal delivery.
  • Comfort with continuous delivery culture and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
  • Must be a US citizen authorized to work in the United States; role is US-remote.
  • Experience with AWS, especially GovCloud, is a plus.
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and Helm is a plus.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or EFK is a plus.
  • Experience with event-driven or asynchronous processing patterns is a plus.
  • Design system or component library ownership at scale is a plus.
  • Background in enterprise learning, training, LMS, assessment, or workforce analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI, SSO/SAML/OIDC, or role-based access control in multi-tenant products is a plus.
  • Experience delivering software into government, DoD, or regulated environments such as FedRAMP, RMF, or STIGs is a plus.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor is a plus.
