Description

  • Build and operate release pipelines (e.g., GoReleaser, GitHub Actions) for self-managed and SaaS deployments.
  • Develop production-grade packaging systems (RPM, DEB, container images) with dependency management, multi-architecture support, and security compliance.
  • Manage package repositories and artifact distribution (DockerHub, Packagecloud, ECR).
  • Write and maintain Go-based platform tooling and automation following TDD and SOLID principles.
  • Create robust automation for Kubernetes, AWS, and DigitalOcean infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain test frameworks with QA to cover multi-architecture and multi-version scenarios.
  • Support ISO 27001 / SOC2 audits by implementing automated compliance controls.
  • Embed and consultatively promote DevOps practices across product squads.
  • Identify and implement AI-assisted automation with appropriate guardrails.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve release engineering tooling and processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience packaging and distributing software for customer-managed deployments (RPM, DEB, container images) — mandatory.
  • Professional Go development experience, including CGO and Linux toolchains.
  • Experience with multi-architecture builds (AMD64, ARM64) and cross-compilation workflows.
  • Experience managing long-term release models, versioning, backports, and upgrade paths for customers.
  • Knowledge of security compliance requirements (FIPS, artifact signing, SBOM generation) and air-gapped installation scenarios.
  • Kubernetes production operations experience and CI/CD pipelines/deployment automation at scale.
  • Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS required; Azure and DigitalOcean beneficial.
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible, cloud-init) and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm).
  • Strong individual contributor who drives initiatives independently, with cross-team collaboration and customer empathy.
  • Nice to have: experience shipping self-managed enterprise software, Kubernetes operators/CRDs, open-source project maintenance, Python or TypeScript, SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs), observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana), or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD/CKS).
