Description

  • Provide real-time Cantonese–English interpretation for live phone calls, including emergency (911-style) situations.
  • Translate dialogue accurately and completely between callers (native language) and English-speaking operators.
  • Deliver messages in the caller's preferred language and ensure both parties understand each other.
  • Clarify or repeat information when necessary to confirm understanding and reduce ambiguity.
  • Use personal mobile device and laptop to connect to the interpreting platform and perform duties.
  • Follow client procedures, schedules, and 9-hour rotating/night shift requirements.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Cantonese (read, speak, and write).
  • Entry level — no formal qualifications required; strong spoken language skills mandatory.
  • Willing to work 9-hour rotating shifts, including night shifts, per client schedule (24/7 operation).
  • Willing to work on public holidays.
  • Own a mobile phone with iOS 15 or above or Android 12 or above.
  • Own a laptop.
  • Available to follow client scheduling requirements within 24 hours when needed.
