Description

  • Provide virtual-only tutoring to K-12 students in math, ELA, and lower-level high school science.
  • Deliver small-group instruction to support students across the country.
  • Support students through summer academies and remediation-focused engagements.
  • Prepare for sessions, log in early, and submit session notes as part of the tutoring work.
  • Work with students in engagements that may run from fourteen to thirty weeks.
  • Collaborate within Tutored by Teachers’ teacher community to take on available tutoring opportunities.
  • Help advance educational equity by supporting high-need students.

Requirements

  • Experience as a US teacher.
  • Experience teaching math in the classroom.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Ability to teach lower-level high school science such as living environment or biology.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction is preferred.
  • Secondary math SPED or ELL teaching experience is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual ability is preferred.
  • AP course experience is helpful.
  • Active teaching credential is preferred.

Benefits

  • Flexible part-time virtual work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Hourly tutoring pay generally up to $32.00 per hour on a prorated basis plus a 10% bonus.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 or $28-$36 per instructional hour plus a 10% bonus, depending on materials provided.
  • Community members receive first access to new tutoring opportunities.
  • Additional opportunities may be available in interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teacher roles.
