Description

  • Provide virtual ELA and math tutoring to K-12 students across the United States.
  • Deliver small-group instruction for school partner engagements.
  • Support lower-level high school math or ELA learners, including Integrated Math 1 and ACT prep.
  • Work with students in engagement periods that may run 14 to 30 weeks.
  • Participate in tutoring sessions, including light preparation, early log-in, and session notes.
  • Adapt to different tutoring engagements such as summer academies and remediation support.
  • Contribute to the company’s mission of supporting high-needs students and advancing educational equity.
  • Accept tutoring opportunities through the teacher community as they become available.

Requirements

  • Experience as a US teacher.
  • Experience teaching Math or ELA in the classroom.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Ability to teach lower-level high school math such as Integrated Math 1 or ACT prep, or ELA for grades 9-12.
  • Availability from 8AM-10AM ET on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction is preferred.
  • Secondary math SPED or ELL teaching experience is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills are helpful.
  • AP course experience is helpful.
  • Active teaching credential is preferred.

Benefits

  • Compensation of up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 per hour plus a 10% bonus when instructional materials are provided.
