Description

  • Provide virtual small-group math tutoring to K-12 students across the United States.
  • Deliver Middle School Math instruction in online tutoring sessions.
  • Support school partners through summer academies and remediation-focused engagements.
  • Prepare for sessions, log in early, and complete session notes as part of tutoring assignments.
  • Work with students in engagements that typically last 14 to 30 weeks and require a few hours per week.
  • Adapt instruction for different tutoring engagements where lessons or materials may be provided.
  • Express interest in and accept tutoring opportunities through the teacher community.
  • Potentially participate in supplemental community opportunities such as interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teacher roles.

Requirements

  • Experience as a US teacher.
  • Experience teaching Math in the classroom.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Comfort teaching Middle School Math.
  • Active teaching credential.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction (preferred).
  • Experience with secondary math SPED or ELL teaching experience (preferred).
  • Bi-lingual experience (preferred).
  • AP course experience, including AP subjects, is helpful.

Benefits

  • Flexible part-time virtual tutoring schedule.
  • Pay of up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring on a prorated basis plus a 10% bonus.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus, or roughly $28-$36 per instructional hour + 10%.
  • Compensation covers tutoring, light preparation, early log-in time, and session notes.
