Description

  • Provide virtual-only small-group Math and/or ELA tutoring for K-8 students across the United States.
  • Deliver scheduled tutoring sessions, including logging in early, light preparation, and completing session notes.
  • Implement remediation, intervention, and small-group instructional strategies as required by engagements.
  • Work with lessons and materials provided by school partners or adapt instruction when materials are not provided.
  • Use Google Classroom and Zoom to run lessons and manage student work and communications.
  • Participate in engagements that run between approximately 14–30 weeks and commit to the agreed weekly hours for each engagement.
  • Optionally support the community by interviewing candidates, contributing to content, supporting customer success, or mentoring other tutors.

Requirements

  • Experience as a U.S. teacher, with classroom teaching experience in Math and/or ELA (K-8 focus).
  • Availability for scheduled tutoring windows (listed opportunities include 8–11am ET; some opportunities seek availability 5–8pm ET).
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Dedication to advancing equity in schools.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction (preferred).
  • Experience with secondary math, SPED, or ELL instruction (preferred).
  • Bilingual ability or AP course teaching experience is a plus.
  • Active teaching credential (preferred).

  • Competitive pay typically around $32.00 per instructional hour (prorated) plus a 10% bonus; rates may vary by engagement (commonly $28–$36/hr + 10%).
