Description

  • Provide virtual math and/or ELA tutoring to K-12 students across the United States.
  • Deliver small-group instruction in online tutoring engagements.
  • Support students in programs such as summer academies and remediation services.
  • Prepare for tutoring sessions and log in early as needed.
  • Record session notes after tutoring sessions.
  • Participate in engagements that typically run 14 to 30 weeks with a few hours of commitment per week.
  • Work with school partners to support student learning needs.
  • Take on supplemental community opportunities such as interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teacher roles.

Requirements

  • Experience as a U.S. teacher.
  • Experience teaching math and/or ELA in the classroom.
  • Availability to tutor from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction is preferred.
  • Experience teaching secondary math is preferred.
  • SPED or ELL teaching experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are helpful.
  • AP course experience is helpful.
  • Active teaching credential is preferred.
  • Dedication to advancing equity in schools.

Benefits

  • Flexible virtual, part-time work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Competitive pay of up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring, plus a 10% bonus.
  • Equivalent pay of about $35.30 for a one-hour tutoring session.
  • Reduced-preparation engagements may be available at $28-$30 per hour plus a 10% bonus.
