Description

  • Provide virtual ELA and/or Math tutoring for K-12 students across the United States.
  • Deliver small-group instruction online to support summer academies, remediation, and other school partner engagements.
  • Work with students during scheduled tutoring sessions, typically between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET.
  • Support tutoring engagements that may run from 14 to 30 weeks and require a few hours of commitment each week.
  • Prepare for sessions, log in early, and complete session notes as part of each tutoring engagement.
  • Collaborate in a virtual tutoring model that serves high-needs students and advances educational equity.
  • Accept and participate in tutoring opportunities after being admitted to the teacher community.
  • Potentially take on supplemental community opportunities such as interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teacher roles.

Requirements

  • US teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom.
  • ELL certification, ELD experience, or SPED certification.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Availability to tutor virtually for 30-60 minute sessions between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction is preferred.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
  • AP course experience is helpful.
  • Active teaching credential is preferred.
  • Dedication to advancing equity in schools.

Benefits

  • Flexible part-time virtual work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Compensation generally up to $32.00 per tutoring hour plus a 10% bonus.
  • Equivalent pay of about $35.30 for a one-hour tutoring session.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 per hour plus a 10% bonus when instructional materials are provided.
  • Opportunities to join a teacher community and receive first access to new tutoring engagements.
  • Potential access to supplemental roles such as interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teaching.
