Description

  • Provide virtual small-group ELA and/or Math tutoring to K-12 students across the country.
  • Support students with English Language Development during tutoring sessions.
  • Deliver tutoring engagements that typically last 14 to 30 weeks with a few hours of weekly commitment.
  • Prepare for sessions, log in early, and complete session notes as part of the tutoring work.
  • Work within open weekday time slots, Monday through Friday, including daytime availability.
  • Participate in online tutoring assignments through the Tutored by Teachers community as opportunities become available.
  • Collaborate in a virtual-only format without classroom-based instruction.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Haitian-Creole and English.
  • Experience teaching in U.S. classrooms.
  • Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom.
  • Comfortable teaching English Language Development.
  • Experience teaching in an online environment.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction preferred.
  • SPED or ELL teaching experience preferred.
  • AP course experience preferred.
  • Active teaching credential preferred.

Benefits

  • Up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring on a prorated basis, plus a 10% bonus.
  • For a one-hour tutoring session, total compensation is approximately $35.30.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus when lessons/materials are provided.
  • Flexible part-time, virtual work with daytime weekday availability.
