Description

  • Provide virtual small-group math instruction to K-12 students across the United States.
  • Tutor students in ACT/SAT math preparation and algebra.
  • Support students in English/reading instruction when needed.
  • Deliver sessions during the required daytime availability windows.
  • Complete light preparation, early log-in, and session notes as part of tutoring engagements.
  • Work with high-needs students in support of educational equity.
  • Participate in tutoring engagements assigned through the TbT teacher community.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S. K-12 public, private, or charter school.
  • Ability to teach both Math and English/Reading.
  • Daytime availability from 12pm-3pm Eastern.
  • Availability to work from 8am-10am EST and 12pm-3pm Eastern for the stated tutoring schedule.
  • Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
  • U.S.-credentialed teacher preferred.
  • Active teaching credential preferred.
  • Experience with remediation, intervention, or small-group instruction preferred.
  • Secondary math SPED or ELL teaching experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual background preferred.
  • AP course experience preferred.
  • Retired teachers with recently lapsed credentials and substantial classroom experience may be considered.

Benefits

  • Up to $32.00 per hour of tutoring on a prorated basis, plus a 10% bonus.
  • Some engagements offer $28-$30 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus when lessons and materials are provided.
  • Flexible part-time virtual work from anywhere in the U.S.

  • Supplemental community opportunities may include interviewing, customer success, content work, or mentor teacher roles.
  • Compensation may be modified depending on the instructional lift required for each engagement.
