Description

  • Own the lifecycle of member disputes and subrogation claims, including coordination with external international counsel.
  • Partner with Product and Marketing to ensure brand, feature launches, and global customer terms are legally sound across jurisdictions.
  • Oversee and maintain the company's global Terms of Service.
  • Navigate international travel regulations and regional short-term accommodation laws.
  • Build and maintain internal legal frameworks covering intellectual property, data privacy, and contracts.
  • Ensure legal processes and documentation are robust, scalable, and audit-ready as the business grows.
  • Manage and negotiate external legal spend to maximize value for the business.
  • Act as the primary legal contact for executive leadership and provide practical, commercial legal advice.
  • Handle a mix of strategic counsel and detailed transactional or administrative legal work.
  • Support the company on cross-border legal and regulatory issues across the UK, US, and EU.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years PQE.
  • Proven experience handling complex legal matters in a fast-moving consumer environment such as travel, hospitality, fintech, or retail.
  • Comfort serving as the sole legal point of contact in a standalone role.
  • Strong commercial judgment when balancing legal, reputational, and customer experience considerations.
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or international regulatory environments (preferred).
  • Background in dispute resolution, contracts, data privacy, IP, or regulatory work (preferred).
  • Experience managing external counsel or legal spend (preferred).
  • Resilience and independence in a high-change, high-ownership environment.
  • Ability to work remotely from the UK.
