Description

  • Design, build, and operate data lakehouse solutions using open table formats such as Apache Iceberg.
  • Integrate diverse source systems and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
  • Implement data transformation logic across multiple data formats and structures.
  • Analyze business requirements and source data to design curated data models and data products.
  • Develop and manage AWS-based data platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure deployments across environments.
  • Monitor data workloads for performance, errors, freshness, and SLA adherence, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Data Services and Data Science teams to evolve the data platform and support stakeholder needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; master's degree is a plus.
  • 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience in software or data, including 2+ years in data-focused roles.
  • Experience implementing data lake and data warehousing platforms.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills for data engineering tasks.
  • Proficiency with AWS data services, including S3, Glue Catalog, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
  • Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Track record of successfully building and operationalizing data pipelines.
  • Experience working with diverse data stores, particularly relational databases.
  • Experience with Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake is preferred.
  • Experience with streaming technologies such as Flink or Spark Streaming is preferred.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design principles and event-driven architectures is preferred.
