Description

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to securely gather, process, and manage data.
  • Analyze SQL statements and help resolve performance issues for optimized database operations.
  • Design secure network architectures and establish security policies.
  • Conduct penetration testing and manage security tools such as SIEM and IDS/IPS.
  • Work with DevOps, IT, and software teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain cloud data security technologies and cloud security best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, cloud platforms, and scripting languages to support security operations.
  • Operate independently with proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly in written and verbal updates.
  • Provide regular progress reports and security concerns to the Head of Security Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of technical experience, or 4 years of IT solutions experience at senior management level.
  • CISSP certification is mandatory, with ISSEP concentration.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is preferred.
  • 10 years of successful enterprise experience in an IT or technology-related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience on large government technical contracts/BPAs.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL, including the ability to decompile SQL statements for performance optimization.
  • Experience with database activity monitoring and cloud data security technologies.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, Windows, Python, and Bash.
