Description

  • Own the daily editing workflow by reviewing live stream footage and extracting the strongest moments for repurposing.
  • Edit and deliver short-form vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with platform-specific formatting and pacing.
  • Produce medium-length YouTube episodes that package trading insights, market analysis, and educational moments into standalone videos.
  • Create long-form content from extended live stream segments while maintaining narrative flow and viewer engagement.
  • Develop and maintain visual style guides and editing templates to ensure consistency across all content formats.
  • Add text overlays, captions, lower thirds, graphics, motion elements, and b-roll to strengthen storytelling and accessibility.
  • Identify trending moments, viral-worthy clips, and evergreen content opportunities from live streams.
  • Organize assets, manage file naming conventions, and maintain version control for clean content libraries.
  • Optimize pacing, retention hooks, and formatting based on platform best practices and performance data.
  • Partner with content strategists to review performance metrics and iterate on the editing approach.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in content creator, media, or digital-first environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A portfolio demonstrating vertical short-form content, medium-length episodes, and work with live or unscripted source material.
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific best practices for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, long-form YouTube, and Twitter.
  • Proven ability to identify compelling moments in long-form or live content and repackage them for impact.
  • Experience adding motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and light animation; After Effects knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and retention, especially in the first 3 seconds.
  • Ability to work efficiently under daily deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfort receiving performance-based feedback and iterating quickly based on content performance.
  • Experience editing finance, trading, or business/investing content is preferred.
  • Ability to create YouTube thumbnails using Photoshop or similar tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of YouTube strategy and best practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or other editing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with live stream recordings or unscripted content is preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup or creator-led environments is preferred.
  • Must have overlap with North American working hours (9am - 5pm ET) and be available for daily coordination and feedback.
