Description

  • Own end-to-end performance of the Toptal Marketplace, including strategy, structure, and execution to scale supply and demand.
  • Design and implement operational frameworks, systems, and processes that enable scalable, high-quality talent-client matching.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across supply, demand, quality, and experience to ensure alignment and operational clarity.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize talent supply against planned and targeted demand while maintaining talent satisfaction.
  • Apply data and analytics to gain insights, set priorities, and make business decisions that improve speed, quality, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with Executive, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to set OKRs, compensation/commission structures, and product requirements supporting operations.
  • Build performance frameworks and KPIs for all process steps and ensure teams meet core business objectives.
  • Design and mature feedback loops, training materials, and career paths to maintain quality standards and scale Talent Operations.
  • Develop risk management and fraud-detection processes and operational procedures to ensure talent is sent to clients under established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale, multi-faceted operations with supply/demand components.
  • Proven ability to formulate and execute business unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytics and business insights to strategic planning and executive decision-making.
  • Understanding of Data Architecture and analytics toolkits and languages.
  • Experience developing and deploying process improvements and workflow enhancements to streamline operations.
  • Financial acumen to develop and manage pricing strategies and project/optimize ROI in a two-sided market.
  • Experience partnering with Finance to design compensation programs that drive desired behaviors and align with financial objectives.
  • Experience working with Product Managers to translate operational needs into product requirements.
  • Experience developing risk management processes to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • US-based (anywhere in the United States); resumes and communication must be submitted in English.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably attend virtual meetings on camera, use digital collaboration tools, and self-manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in recruiting, outsourcing, and/or the talent space is a plus; must be a strong individual contributor.
