Description

  • Own Toptal’s AI product strategy, including agent and model applications, build-versus-buy decisions, evaluation standards, packaging, and pricing.
  • Set the vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for Toptal’s full product portfolio.
  • Establish the product operating model, planning cadence, prioritization framework, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering on the underlying platform, AI capabilities, and production economics of models.
  • Integrate acquisitions and new products into the portfolio while representing the needs of talent and clients.
  • Restructure product workflows using AI-assisted discovery, research, prototyping, and analysis.
  • Own product organization design, workforce planning, headcount, hiring commitments, and leadership development.
  • Review product work directly, maintain quality standards, mentor teams, and raise organizational performance.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive leaders across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer functions.
  • Deliver AI-enabled capabilities and demonstrate measurable business impact across core product surfaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of software product management experience.
  • 8+ years leading product organizations, including managing product leaders.
  • Experience owning a full product portfolio at a high-growth technology company with accountability for business outcomes.
  • Executive-level experience setting product strategy and translating it into roadmaps across multiple teams and domains.
  • Proven experience leading AI-enabled products with measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on expertise in agentic architectures, orchestration, retrieval, context engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production model economics; experience shipping these systems.
  • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and upgrading product organizations, including workforce planning and performance decisions.
  • Fluency in growth marketing, including acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention; marketplace, platform, or two-sided business experience preferred.
  • Strong data analysis, user research, communication, agile delivery, independent-work, and collaboration skills; software engineering experience preferred.
  • Availability for a full-time remote role, reliable virtual meeting participation, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
