Description

  • Own Toptal’s AI product strategy, including agent and model applications, build-versus-buy decisions, pricing, and business outcomes.
  • Set the vision, strategy, roadmap, investment priorities, and operating model for the full product portfolio.
  • Partner with Engineering on AI and platform capabilities, including evaluation standards, acceptance criteria, and production economics.
  • Apply AI to improve product discovery, research, prototyping, analysis, and team productivity.
  • Lead product integration for acquisitions and new products while representing talent and client needs.
  • Own product resourcing, workforce planning, headcount, hiring commitments, and organizational design.
  • Set hiring standards, recruit exceptional product leaders and managers, and develop teams against clear performance expectations.
  • Review product work directly, establish metrics and planning processes, and ensure evidence-based prioritization.
  • Collaborate with executive and cross-functional leaders across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer teams.
  • Deliver AI-enabled capabilities, portfolio priorities, and measurable business results within defined milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of software product management experience.
  • 8+ years leading product organizations, including managing product leaders.
  • Experience owning a complete product portfolio at a high-growth technology company with accountability for business outcomes.
  • Executive-level experience setting product strategy and translating it into multi-team roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and raising the performance bar of product organizations.
  • Experience leading AI-enabled products with measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on expertise in agentic architectures, orchestration, retrieval, context engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation, and production model economics; shipped experience required.
  • Growth marketing fluency across acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.
  • Experience with marketplace, platform, or two-sided business models preferred; prior software engineering experience is a plus.
  • Comfort using SQL or spreadsheets, conducting user research, and applying data-driven, user-centric problem solving.
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, quality judgment, adaptability, and experience with agile methods and globally distributed teams.
  • Must be an active, hands-on individual contributor able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work remotely and submit resumes and communication in English.
