Description

  • Own and lead the company’s overall data strategy and analytics roadmap.
  • Partner with executive leaders to align data initiatives with business growth priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and executive stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Provide actionable insights and metrics that support subscription product development, content strategy, and business growth decisions.
  • Own data governance, data quality, and metric definitions across the organization.
  • Act as the final escalation point for disputes over data definitions and trusted metrics.
  • Direct, mentor, and grow a diverse team of data professionals across multiple functions.
  • Champion data literacy and a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in data-related roles such as Data Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics.
  • At least 2 years of senior leadership or management experience overseeing multiple data functions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing a comprehensive data strategy and roadmap in a high-growth or complex organization.
  • Proven ability to work across the full analytical stack with a primary focus on driving business value.
  • Experience with modern data warehousing tools such as Snowflake or BigQuery is highly valued and strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT practices and data engineering concepts is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing cross-functional data teams.
  • Experience with high-volume, real-time event data is a plus, especially in subscription or digital media environments.

  • Annual base salary of $190,000 to $210,000 USD.
