Description

  • Lead and/or self-perform engineering activities for project execution.
  • Identify customer requirements and evaluate multiple technical solutions.
  • Develop functional and physical architecture for high-complexity systems.
  • Verify and validate system designs and deliverables.
  • Assign tasks to junior engineers and technicians to support design completion.
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Project Managers to manage capacity and meet project milestones.
  • Review work quality, resolve internal and external project quality issues, and close out technical requests and transmittals.
  • Prepare proposals, scope definitions, conceptual designs, execution plans, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Coordinate technical work with other disciplines and departments within the local office.
  • Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and short-term field support during construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another technical degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience developing solar projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with SCADA, network, controls, plant controls, field instrumentation, or IT systems is relevant to the role.
  • Experience supporting utility-scale PV or battery storage projects is preferred.
  • Ability to work across project phases from kickoff through customer handover.
