Description

  • Design, implement, and operate newsroom, streaming, and on-air technology platforms across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Support live production, control room automation, contribution, playout, graphics, and digital streaming workflows.
  • Partner with station engineering, digital, streaming, and application teams to define operational requirements and deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve production, streaming, and application issues affecting live broadcasts, live streams, and newsroom operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document incidents, fixes, and preventative actions.
  • Document end-to-end station workflows and maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and escalation paths.
  • Implement and operate monitoring, alerting, and automation workflows to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of applications, services, integrations, and versions in ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Analyze incidents, trends, and customer feedback to recommend process, tooling, or architecture improvements.
  • Support special projects and live events while adapting to changing newsroom and streaming demands.

Requirements

  • College degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical experience in broadcast, media technology, or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting broadcast, newsroom, and streaming technologies, such as Cuez or similar newsroom systems, graphics platforms, production control room automation, contribution/distribution systems, and live streaming workflows.
  • Experience with CUEZ or similar live production tools strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments supporting media workflows.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management concepts and tooling, including ITIL practices, incident/problem management, knowledge management, CMDBs, and ServiceNow.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously, especially in live production or time-sensitive environments.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical issues into business and operational impact for different audiences.
  • Analytical, methodical problem solver who can diagnose complex issues across systems, networks, applications, and workflows.
