Description

  • Ensure the reliable operation of ETL pipelines by monitoring data flows, validating and reconciling data, and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated validation and cleansing rules to identify missing data, mismatched fields, and invalid clinical or billing codes.
  • Configure and manage monitoring and alerting to detect processing failures, latency issues, and data anomalies in near real time.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for data and pipeline issues and partner with data engineering and upstream data providers to prevent recurrence.
  • Work closely with data engineering, product, customer success, and operations teams to improve data reliability, workflows, and documentation.
  • Support client integrations by preparing, validating, and maintaining data pipelines that process large volumes of healthcare data.
  • Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders while working closely with engineers and other cross-functional partners.
  • Propose process improvements that reduce recurring errors and strengthen operational quality.
  • Leverage AI tools or automation platforms to enhance data operations, detect anomalies, and streamline workflows.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a data-centric role.
  • Strong working knowledge of eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, and prior authorization data.
  • Experience handling Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
  • Proven experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for large healthcare datasets.
  • Working understanding of ETL processes, data integration workflows, secure data transport such as SFTP, and data encryption.
  • Comfortable partnering with internal teams and external vendors or payers to validate requirements and support SLAs.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to diagnose issues, reconcile data discrepancies, and document workflows.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with data brokers such as Availity or Change Healthcare, or with EDI transactions, especially 270/271 and 834.
  • Legal right to work in the United States; no immigration or work visa sponsorship provided.
