Description

  • Define and own enterprise-wide data architecture and modeling standards.
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models across core business domains (agency operations, homeowners policy systems, fronting carrier ecosystem).
  • Build and operate a modern data platform including pipelines, lakehouse/warehouse layers, and medallion‑architected datasets.
  • Create scalable, AI‑ready data environments to support analytics, data products, and ML initiatives.
  • Partner with engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, reusable, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Implement data governance, observability, and data cataloging to enable self‑service and support data mesh principles.
  • Drive strategic technical decisions and influence platform and tooling choices with a modern, cloud‑native mindset.
  • Translate complex data and AI concepts into clear narratives for non‑technical audiences and advise on emerging AI architectures (e.g., RAG, enterprise AI agents).
  • Shape and maintain a healthy, future‑proof data environment from the ground up, minimizing technical debt.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or analytics engineering.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms and modeling techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and tools such as Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • Proven ability to build data warehouses, lakehouses, pipelines, and large‑scale data ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture, data governance, observability, and data catalogs.
  • Experience designing AI‑ready data foundations that support analytics and ML.
  • Proven track record as a decisive technical expert who can guide senior engineers and set architectural direction.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to simplify complex technical topics for stakeholders.
  • Self‑starter with an ownership mindset and ability to establish standards with minimal oversight.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Polish; flexibility for occasional evening meetings across PL‑US time zones (nice to have: experience from large organizations or insurance).
