Description

  • Use inventory forecasting software to identify and track product trends, life cycles, and current and future demand.
  • Analyze trends, historical demand, and customer input to determine accurate purchase quantities and timing.
  • Design metrics and prepare reports to analyze inventory levels.
  • Create and place stocking orders based on forecasting analyses.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, current events, and other information relevant to demand planning.
  • Participate in weekly receipt meetings and cross-functional strategy huddles.
  • Support forecasting and replenishment activities within one of the company’s five key categories.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Ability to review and process large volumes of data.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Basic statistical analysis and data manipulation skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; the company does not sponsor work visas.
  • Able to work remotely from one of the approved states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
  • Available for the 10-week internship program from June 1st to August 7th.
  • Available for the required on-site internship meeting in Melville, NY on July 14th and July 15th.
  • Able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET with flexibility.
  • Able to work in a distraction-free remote environment with minimal background noise and personal-device interruptions.
