Description

  • Analyze LAN/WAN traffic to detect anomalies, performance issues, and encryption validation gaps across enterprise environments.
  • Generate network and application performance reports using monitoring tools such as NetScout.
  • Validate and monitor Windows and Linux system logs to identify operational issues.
  • Oversee system upgrades, patching, and configuration validation for Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize server performance across enterprise systems.
  • Optimize NIC teaming, network redundancy, and Windows Clustering for high availability.
  • Ensure SAN-connected systems are configured with Multipath IO for redundancy and performance.
  • Support vulnerability management activities, including Nessus scans and POA&M updates.
  • Ensure systems meet ATO/ATC requirements, federal security standards, and STIG-based hardening requirements.
  • Review logs, alerts, and system health metrics daily and recommend optimization and risk mitigation actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • Strong experience with network traffic analysis in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server 2012/2016+ and Red Hat Linux systems.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as NetScout, SCOM, SolarWinds, or similar.
  • Experience with system patching, upgrades, and configuration management.
  • Experience with server performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks including STIG, ATO, and vulnerability management.
  • Preferred: experience supporting EHR or large-scale healthcare systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Windows Clustering and high-availability environments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with SAN architecture and Multipath IO.
  • Preferred: experience with Centrify or similar authentication tools.
  • Preferred: experience supporting live system deployments and sustainment environments.
  • Preferred: prior experience in federal or regulated environments.
