Description

Design, build, and ship full-stack product features on a weekly cadence using AI coding tools.
Develop LLM-powered features such as tutoring agents, parent copilot experiences, coach dashboards, and retrieval over student data.
Create and maintain evals and regression tests for AI features.
Work directly with the founders on scope, architecture, and technical trade-offs.
Own the reliability, security, and cost of both traditional systems and LLM pipelines.
Run and improve the team’s AI coding workflow, including prompts, subagents, custom tools, and MCP servers.
Own at least one major system end-to-end.
Ship production code and AI features that students, parents, and staff use every day.
Help raise the team’s AI engineering bar as the company grows.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics.
6+ years of full-time production engineering experience shipping software to real users at scale.
Prior experience in a senior, staff, or tech-lead role.
Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Aider, or equivalent.
Experience shipping at least one LLM-powered feature in production with an evaluation strategy.
Strong experience with a modern web stack such as TypeScript, React, Node, Python, Postgres, AWS, or GCP.
Excellent written English.
Legal authorization to work from India or Pakistan as a remote contractor for a US company.
Master’s or PhD from a tier-1 institution is preferred.
Experience as a founder, first-five engineer at a funded startup, or builder of products used at scale is preferred.
Experience with agent frameworks, vector search or RAG at scale, eval tools like Braintrust or LangSmith, prompt caching, MCP servers, structured output, tool-use reliability, or voice agents is preferred.
A public GitHub profile or personal AI project that can be reviewed is preferred.
A personal project you built out of genuine interest is preferred.
