Description

  • Guide students through their online academic hours, maintaining focus, effort, and pace.
  • Mentor students on figure skating training, competition, mindset, and balancing academics with sport.
  • Build a trusted relationship that provides accountability, guidance, and honest feedback.
  • Help students navigate learning platforms, challenging material, study habits, and time management.
  • Reinforce standards for effort, focus, and conduct while providing direct feedback and encouragement.
  • Communicate clear updates to parents and academy staff about academic progress, athletic development, and next steps.

Requirements

  • Senior-level competitive figure skating experience through U.S. Figure Skating or internationally through ISU.
  • Hands-on experience working with children through coaching, tutoring, mentoring, teaching, camp counseling, or similar roles.
  • Strong judgment and ability to build trust, maintain standards, and give direct feedback to young athletes.
  • Clear, steady video communication and strong written communication with parents and staff.
  • Reliable, organized, punctual, and able to track student needs and follow through.
  • Based in the U.S. and able to work remotely with reliable internet and a quiet video-session workspace.
  • Recent senior-level competitive skating experience preferred.
  • Youth figure skating coaching, camp, teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience preferred.
  • Professional Skaters Association certification or comparable coaching credentials preferred.
  • Comfort with video platforms, learning systems, and messaging tools preferred.

Benefits

  • $25 per hour.
