Description

  • Meet with student-athletes over video during academic hours to keep them focused and moving through their work at pace.
  • Provide academic guidance, help students navigate the learning platform, and support them through difficult material.
  • Mentor students on basketball mindset, training habits, recruiting, and balancing school with serious sport.
  • Build trusted relationships that provide accountability, guidance, and honest feedback.
  • Reinforce standards for effort, focus, and conduct while giving direct feedback and positive recognition.
  • Communicate clear updates to parents and staff about academic progress, athlete development, and student needs.
  • Help students build study, time-management, and learning habits that support long-term success.

Requirements

  • Competed in basketball at the Division I level.
  • Experience working with young people in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, teaching, or similar roles.
  • Ability to build trust with young athletes, give direct feedback, and read situations well.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort running one-on-one video sessions.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on student needs.
  • Must be remote within the U.S. with reliable internet and a quiet space for video sessions.
  • Recent graduate is preferred.
  • Youth coaching or camp experience is preferred.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
  • Comfort working with video, learning platforms, and messaging tools is preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay of $25 per hour.
