Description

  • Lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS app.
  • Ship production code for Speechify’s iOS application.
  • Work within a dedicated product team to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Participate in product discussions and help shape the product roadmap.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and designers on product direction.
  • Make thoughtful decisions about what to ship now versus later.
  • Support the app’s growth and continued performance for a large user base.

Requirements

  • Experience building products that have scaled to a large user base.
  • Track record of working on products from inception to meaningful traction.
  • Experience owning engineering for a product or major product area.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering the best possible user experience.
  • Product thinking and ability to support internal teams and designers with direction.
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote environment.
  • Strong focus and judgment about when to engage versus work heads down.
  • Experience with Swift.
  • Experience with SwiftUI.
  • Experience with multithreading programming.
  • Experience working with CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Experience with Fastlane.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and writing classes accordingly.
  • Experience with Git and different Git strategies.
  • Portfolio and LinkedIn links required when applying.
  • Experience in a team operating in an asynchronous, distributed setting (preferred).
  • Experience with mobile products serving accessibility or learning-related use cases (preferred).
