Description

  • Drive product qualification and compliance activities to ensure all regulatory requirements are met for consumer Starlink devices.
  • Coordinate with internal SpaceX teams and external certification bodies to steer compliance efforts for safety, EMC, radio, and environmental functions worldwide.
  • Lead global market access certification programs to enable delivery of Starlink service to millions of users.
  • Influence and impact internal design decisions to ensure products meet certification and regulatory needs.
  • Manage cross-functional interactions with multiple technical disciplines and be hands-on in compliance testing and qualification.
  • Own project-level coordination of compliance activities, including scope, schedule, and deliverables for certifications.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for product certifications and engage with certification authorities throughout the approval process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, chemistry, or physics.
  • 5+ years of professional experience coordinating qualification and certification of radio devices for global markets (basic requirement).
  • Preferred: 8+ years coordinating compliance activities for global market access.
  • Preferred: 8+ years managing product technical requirements, scope, schedule, or cost.
  • 5+ years experience (preferred) including Wi‑Fi or radio/RF compliance, analysis, design, and testing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Compliance Engineering areas such as product safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), RF engineering, or environmental compliance.
  • Outstanding project management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines.
  • ITAR requirement: applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
