Description

  • Perform detailed in-process inspections of Falcon components using drawings, CAD models, and established processes to verify manufacturing and design conformance.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed for receiving and storing composite raw materials.
  • Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.
  • Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation and assess compliance to company and industry standards.
  • Initiate and lead continual improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Support the Material Review Board process by documenting and managing non-conformances.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Associate degree in a technical or engineering field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing role (preferred).
  • A&P license (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of composite lay-up laser alignment and composite ply cutting systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret cure reports and vendor-supplied conformance certifications.
  • Practical experience with GD&T and skillful use of metrology tools and gauges.
  • Experience with integration.
  • Experience working with manufacturing enterprise resource systems, electronic databases, and paperless work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with engineering and production groups.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities and delegated tasks.
  • Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to work all shift hours, overtime, and weekend hours as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, at least 8 hours.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
