Description

  • Interface with internal departments to plan future product generations and brand-aligned merchandise.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process including sourcing, vendor management, purchase order issuance, and production oversight.
  • Initiate and maintain project workflows by issuing required documentation and setting clear objectives, timelines, and expectations across cross-functional teams.
  • Source, establish, and maintain relationships with production vendors and manage day-to-day vendor communications and production (e.g., mission patches, soft goods).
  • Coordinate internal product distributions, gifts, event merchandise, and employee customer service requests.
  • Manage inventory, costs, and approval processes for VIP, employee, and Events team requests.
  • Coordinate internal communications with site stakeholders to promote new product releases.
  • Create and refresh visual merchandising plans for on-site store displays for each product release.
  • Plan and develop on-site retail activations and promotions and supervise remote facilities merchandise store operations.
  • Support buying and forecasting to maintain inventory levels and consistent sell-through, and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising and/or product development, including managing the complete product lifecycle from conception to delivery.
  • Proven track record of establishing a network of production vendors and developing merchandising and/or licensing agreements (preferred).
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to execute multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to execute many projects in parallel, pivot rapidly, and coordinate across teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs unassisted.
  • Willingness to travel to vendors or other SpaceX locations up to 10% and must meet ITAR eligibility (U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required authorizations).

Benefits

  • Salary range: Level 1 $75,000–$95,000; Level 2 $90,000–$115,000, with final level/salary determined by experience and qualifications.
