Description

  • Own and grow an existing community of 25,000+ members.
  • Lead and support moderators and community volunteers.
  • Manage messaging and communications across Discord, TikTok, Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, and Steam.
  • Plan and host 2-3 community events such as housing showcases, contests, group play sessions, and screenshot challenges.
  • Conduct personalized influencer outreach, track responses, and follow up to build relationships.
  • Write and post authentic Reddit threads to spark conversations in relevant gaming communities.
  • Prepare weekly community reports on feedback themes, sentiment, content performance, and growth.
  • Manage the Community Hub and cultivate activity across it.
  • Collaborate with guilds and integrate them into Soulbound community initiatives.
  • Build Discord engagement loops using guilds, factions, challenges, leaderboards, and rewards.
  • Curate user-generated content such as fan art, housing tours, fashion spotlights, and meme roundups.
  • Lead a Content Creator Program with early access and spotlight opportunities.
  • Act as the bridge between players and the development team by relaying insights and feedback.
  • Create a media training and vetting program for team members with public-facing profiles.
  • Own social media scheduling and publishing using platform tools.
  • Collaborate with creators and streamers and promote their work across the community.

Requirements

  • Extensive personal experience playing MMOs, including understanding of guilds, housing, cosmetics, endgame loops, and player retention.
  • Ability to name 5 MMOs and explain what each does well.
  • Experience managing a Discord community of 5,000+ members.
  • Experience moderating, running events, setting up bots, and handling community issues.
  • Experience managing a video game community, ideally through a game launch.
  • Strong understanding of meme culture and the ability to write in a natural, non-corporate voice.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to respond proactively to relevant community discussions.
  • Thick skin and the ability to engage productively with criticism and conflict in MMO communities.
  • Media training and comfort with public-facing communication.
  • Willingness to play the game extensively.
  • Bonus: prior experience working on a game launch or as a community member, guild leader, or fan site runner.
  • Bonus: existing gaming social media presence, even a small one.
  • Bonus: ability to create short-form video content using tools like CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci.
  • Bonus: fluency in more than English.
  • Bonus: experience with influencer platforms.
  • Bonus: experience in pixel art or cozy gaming communities.
